Ashtanga Yoga

This course takes students through a sequence of postures specifically designed to allow a fuller experience of the breath. Each week, students explore either forward- or backward-bending postures, varying the practice to expose students to a variety of postures. Emphasis is on appropriate alignment in each pose. Ashtanga students keep moving in a series of postures linked by sun salutations, with modifications to meet the needs of each student. Previous yoga experience is recommended.
