I am a wife, mother and grandmother. I am also gainfully employed with a fast paced IT company, so I am always juggling life's demands. With yoga, I have learned to find the inner peace & strength that is so necessary to cope with one’s life. As an instructor I have shown others the importance of taking time to enjoy the calm that is so hard to find in this day and age.
My approach to Yoga is centered on calming the fast-paced mind and soothing the effects of stress in the body, an approach which ultimately addresses personal productivity and satisfaction. Classes include breathing exercises and mind-body posture for fitness, appropriate to all levels of flexibility and strength.
I have over 300 hours of teaching experience and have been practicing yoga classes now for 7 years. I am a certified and registered Yoga Alliance Teacher.
I have studied and continue to attend workshops and conferences with various world premier yoga instructors, such as, Lilias Folan, Rodney Yee, Patricia Waldran, Judith Lasater PhD , Shiva Rea, Sean Corn, Cyndi Lee, and Paul Grilly PhD, Eric Schiffman and, Shaka Kau. Because of the various teachers and styles of yoga, I teach a creative style or flow of safe aligned asana in my classes, being especially mindful of the unique skeletal and muscular difference with each student, never forcing the pose. The tone of my class is lighthearted and non-competitive; appropriate for men and women who are joyful, active and open in their practice.
I have been teaching in many communities, and at various employee sites as well as studios and private classes.
I believe that Yoga is one more path to help individuals live a full, complete life that nurtures and strengthens the body, mind and spirit.
Shanti (Peace)
