IDEA, the International Health and Fitness Association, released a statistic that found 75% of people who exercise are not getting the results they want. However, out of the 25% of the people getting results, 90% of them are working with a Personal Trainer.

Our fitness expertise has allowed us to design a one-of-a-kind group program that allows you to achieve the best results possible. Working with others can not only be a fun way to workout, but it can also increase morale and drive you to push yourself to your limits in order to achieve results in the fastest way possibleWe understand that you might feel nervous about training with others, but our highly experienced personal trainers will put you at ease with their professionalism and care. The only thing that differs with our group training is that you will be working with others who share your goals and want to get results just as much as you do. We take special care of our clients and make sure their needs are met during their group training sessions. Nobody gets left behind or unattended. We focus on fitness and our group training can be an awesome way to make friends and boost your confidence.

In addition to individual training and group training, we have structured fitness classes that are extremely enjoyable and are appropriate for everyone. It does not matter where you are in your fitness journey, we have wonderful fitness classes just for you. Some of the classes we offer include two levels of suspension training as well as a beginner and next level fitness class. While some may be nervous to join a fitness class, our highly educated and wonderful trainers are dedicated to making you feel welcomed.

Kettlebell Strong!

Looking to change up your workout? Wanting to infuse a blend of strength/cardio/balance? Kettlebell Strong! provides a 45-minute long strength and cardio workout that will work your entire body plus treat you to core work! This combo will help you build muscle and fire up that metabolism to torch that calorie burn. Whether you are new to strength training, already a fan of this format, or are looking for new twist to your strength workout Kettlebell Strong! is the perfect class to add to your weekly fit. Bring a towel and some water - you will sweat!

Suspension Training

Suspension Training is for those who are ready to increase core strength, balance, & flexibility using suspended straps & body weight to leverage against gravity. A whole-body workout with one little strap!

Bobbie Kuhns feels fortunate and lucky her lifetime love for fitness has turned into a full time career. Bobbie is a certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness & Pilates Instructor.  She feels it is important to create an environment to educate and inspire people on fitness and health, while having fun.

Bobbie Kuhns has always been interested in fitness. She grew up playing volleyball and basketball. She attended the University of Northern Colorado where she studied business and accounting. Bobbie enjoyed participating in group fitness classes and decided to become a certified fitness instructor. 

Bobbie has always had a passion to help others reach their goals.  She struggled herself to lose 25lbs after gaining 65lbs with her first baby.  It was through this struggle, Bobbie learned the importance of feeding her body correctly.  80 percent of what you feed your body will give you results, and 20 percent is what you do to it.    Bobbie decided to become a Personal Trainer and a Health and Wellness Coach.  She has helped hundreds of people over the years to reach their goals. 

Bobbie offers one on one and group coaching.  She leads Weight Loss Challenges, which is used to help educate and provide a friendly accountability atmosphere.  Her mission in life is to educate, inspire and motivate others into a healthy active lifestyle.   

Bobbie is also a Strength and Conditioning Coach for Westerville Central Girls, Basketball and Advancement Academy Volleyball Club.  She embraces the opportunity to help hundreds of young athletes become stronger, more competitive and confident on and off the court.

Bobbie has certifications through  National Academy Sports Medicine (NASM), PES (Performance Enhancement Specialist), Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) Personal Trainer and Indoor Cycling, National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA) Group Fitness and Kick Boxing, Spinning, Turbo Kick, Bender Ball, Power Pilates Mat Instructor, POUND and TRX.

Bethany Lee

Bethany Lee has always been a physically active person, participating in sports as a teenager and enjoying the exploration and play she found outdoors. She discovered her passion and gift for nurturing others through her training and practice in yoga and fitness and feels blessed to be able to practice this as her career.

 

For Bethany, health is the most important factor in life success, regardless of how one defines "success". Good health extends well beyond the boundaries of the gym and it is her pleasure and goal in life to teach and express this philosophy to her clients.

 

Bethany is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She received her yoga teacher training from Balanced Yoga Studios in Clintonville, Ohio and is certified in Thai Yoga Bodywork from the Om Yoga School of Thai Yoga Massage in Dayton, Ohio.

When not working with clients, Bethany enjoys hanging out with her husband and their four dogs.

Andy Berger

Andy is the owner of NuFit Wellness. Together with his wife Laura Berger, Registered Dietitian, they help people reach their goals through Fitness and Nutrition. With 15 years experience as a personal trainer, Andy has worked with a broad spectrum of clients from weight loss to strength gain, aging populations to athletes. What sets Andy apart from the vast sea of trainers is his passion to help people and his ability to meet them where they are. He see's the potential in his clients that often times even they can’t. After helping clients lose over 100lbs, rid themselves of chronic disease, get off medications, eliminate chronic pain and discomfort, increase strength and rehab injuries, he wholeheartedly believes that any client can achieve what they put their mind to

Andy grew up in the Columbus area and devoted much of his life to gymnastics (which helped inspire his love for training!). He attended Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio to receive his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science. He then went on to become a Certified Strength and Condition Specialist through NSCA.

He loves spending time with his wonderful wife, Laura, their beautiful daughter, Evelyn, and their fun-loving boxer named Libby. You will find him outdoors either in my vegetable garden, hiking, camping, jogging, biking, or doing anything active. He practices what he preaches by exercising regularly and eating healthfully.

Kasey Shicks

It was her own quest to lose weight that sparked Kasey's interest and passion for fitness.  After giving birth to two kids she realized that she was overweight and constantly tired.  She started with Pilates videos at home. then began working out consistently, as she started to see an improvement on her body. 

 

Kasey took her passion for fitness and made a career for herself. Her extensive knowledge of the body and muscle groups enables her to adapt her training for students with a wide range of mobility, flexibility, endurance and strength. However, she most enjoys working with people who have little or no current exercise regimen. Kasey can always be counted on for a cheerful smile, an encouraging attitude, and a great playlist of music. 

She offers small group and one-on-one training at the Yoga Factory.  She tailors each workout to her client’s needs and goals, focusing on areas such as strengthening, maintenance, endurance, mobility, weight loss or rehab. 

 

In addition to personal training, Kasey has been a Licensed Massage Therapist and has since 2007. Her massage services including deep tissue, trigger point, sports massage, Swedish, relaxation, lymphatic and post-surgery lipo massage.

 

During free time Kasey enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, involvement in church and volunteer activities.  She continues to stay fit through boxing, crossfit, and running at Sharon Woods.

Chip Bruchac

Chip Bruchac has always been active in the fitness world as a competitor, coach, trainer and volunteer in various youth organizations in Westerville (OH). He believes that while many people know that their lifestyle is not healthy, they don't know how to change. So, after 33 years working in the corporate world, Chip decided to make fitness his full-time career, with the goal of knowing each day that he had helped someone on their way to a healthier lifestyle.

Chip continues to improve himself through education in order to better serve his clients. His certifications include:

  • ACSM, AFFA Certified Personal Trainer

  • Senior Fitness Certified Personal Trainer

  • Triathlon Coach USA Triathlon

  • ASCA Certified Swim Coach

Chip's fitness philosophy is that it's not about winning races, losing weight or getting toned. It's about keeping healthy. If you focus on that, along with having some fun, everything will fall into place.

Tess Rano

Tess is a Personal Fitness Trainers and a Certified Food Coach at The Yoga Factory. She absolutely enjoys helping people achieve their health and fitness goals. Tess started practicing Martial Arts when she was 10 yrs old. She is a 4th degree black belt and her passion for the arts and physical fitness compelled her to open her Martial Arts school in 1999. Her Martial Arts students competed in the Arnold Fitness Expo and successfully competed herself. With her motivation and energetic spirit she spearheaded the Fitness training and kickboxing venue of the school.

Tess has always been a big believer in overall health and fitness for herself and others which led her to compete at the Kentucky Open. She placed 1st in her division in 2015 and 2nd in 2016. She has been a Registered Respiratory Therapist for over 30 years at which time she was also the Director of the Respiratory department for many years.

Jaclyn Owdom

My name is Jaclyn (Mental) Owdom and I am a 38 year wife and mother of three kids! Connor, Matthew and Olivia 

I get that it's hard to make the time for yourself but I also know that the time you make for yourself ultimately allows you to be better for everyone else!  I have been working out for as long as I can remember. Active in athletics, ultimately playing one year of college basketball has made fitness a lifestyle and a part of who I am.  I have  tried almost everything out there! Spin, weights, distance running, cross fit, group fitness and this allows me to personalize an amazing workout for you!  I believe in balance, incorporating movements you love and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone from time to time. Brenda Young

As a former firefighter and medic of 24 years for the city of Westerville, Brenda Young had to pass rigorous physical tests for her career and is now an expert in personal training. From personal experience with orthopedic surgeries, Brenda also specializes working with clients who have suffered from injuries and are seeking rehab.Brenda has known the owner of the factory, Jud Beachler, for more than 30 years and trained with him for 12. That said, she is very tightly knitted within the factory family. Prior to Brenda's successful career as a firefighter, she was teaching rope rescue and ballet dance at Otterbein and private studios.  Brenda is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) where she majored in dance.While she has been enjoying being retired for the past 12 years, Brenda was staying busy by working for popular fitness brand, Athleta.When Brenda is not working, she enjoys biking, hiking and traveling out West with her husband and sometimes 24-year-old son (who just got married!). Brenda's boot camp classes are Saturday mornings at 7:30 a.m. and she keeps it exciting with a new class every week.

Stephen Grabor

What started as an insecurity blossomed into a career for Stephen Grabor. At 6’1”, he graduated from high school weighing only 120 lbs and was able to put on over 20 lbs of lean mass within a year with strength training. After having first-hand knowledge of the feeling and results that fitness could bring, Steve knew he wanted to revolve his life around the field. He began teaching classes at the YMCA and gained experience with a wide range of ages and fitness styles. He taught classes such as HIIT, women on weights, triathlon training, wellness coaching and fitness training for children and teens. Beyond this hands-on experience, Steve wanted to pursue higher education to provide the best care for his clients. He began at The Ohio State University before transferring to Otterbein University and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion and Fitness. This rigorous program included a personal training practicum, Olympic weight lifting and group fitness. Immediately after graduation, Steve began working in a personal training studio doing both personal and group training. Through all this experience, Steve gained both the confidence and the knowledge to improve his client’s health. One of Steve’s greatest passions lies in training beginner weight lifters to add muscle mass and learn the fundamentals of bodybuilding. Starting as a 120 lb newbie, Steve is now closing in on 200 lbs and he loves helping others in a similar position change their body and their confidence. When he’s not with beginner bodybuilders, Steve loves making HIIT programs for weight loss or muscle isolation programs to sculpt his client’s bodies. His interactive, fun programs will keep you guessing, and his positive attitude challenges his clients to reach their goals. He will work with you to ensure your workout plan is specific to your goals and give you to education to sustain the changes long term.
